George County man faces drug charges

George County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Lucedale man on drug charges.

The Sheriff’s Office, in a press release, said that agents with the Southeast Mississippi Narcotics Task Force were investigating a suspicious vehicle near the Rocky Creek Inn on Highway 98, in the Rocky Creek community of George County when a suspect attempted to flee.

Agents pursued the suspect on foot and Ronnie Lee Moye, 41, of Lucedale was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (methamphetamine).

Moye is being held at the George County jail following a bond revocation. He also is being held on a Mississippi Department of Corrections warrant for violation of parole.

The Southeast Mississippi Narcotics Task Force is investigating both cases.
