George County man arrested after deadly fight; victim identified

David Vice was arrested by GCSO Deputies after a fight turned deadly Saturday

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)– A George County man is behind bars after a physical altercation turned deadly Saturday morning.

36-year-old David Vice of Lucedale is now facing the specific charge of Homicide–By Committing a Misdemeanor, and is being held at the George County Regional Correctional Facility.

George County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a fight shortly after midnight. Once on scene, deputies found 33-year-old Ashton Davis unconscious.

Davis was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

Deputies say Vice and Davis were the two individuals involved in the altercation, but the cause of the fight is still unknown at this time.
