George County baseball team receives 2024 State Championship Rings

Earlier this year, the George County baseball program accomplished something that hadn’t been done since the year 1997. For that reason alone, it’s worth celebrating almost four months later and for the rest of their lives. This past Friday night, the George County baseball team received a nice size rock that was extremely hard earned!

The Rebels took to Gill Martin Stadium during halftime of Friday night’s football game to receive their State Championship rings after defeating Warren Central in back-to-back matchups both with a final score of 3 to 2.

The front of the ring displayed diamonds surrounding “GC”, along with the classification and overall record of 30-5 on one side, and customization on the other with their names, number and positions. Rings were given to every player, coach, and their two managers.

The thing of beauty was earned on and off the field with team fundraisers as well.
