George County alum Trevor McDonald shines in first MLB start

Trevor McDonald, a current San Francisco Giants pitcher and graduate of George County High School, had an impressive outing in his first-ever MLB start against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday afternoon.

McDonald posted a 3.38 earned run average and gave up just one run on six hits with a walk and three strikeouts in 6.0 innings of play.

The Giants would go on to win the game 3-1 as they look to make a late push for the final National League Wild Card spot with just six games remaining in the regular season.
