George County alum Justin Steele shines for Cubs in London

From Lucedale to London, George County alum Justin Steele shoving once again for the Chicago Cubs over the weekend.

On Saturday, Steele drawing the start in a 9-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals as a part of MLB’s London series and the former Rebel putting on for the ‘Sip all the way across the pond.

Steele going six innings, allowing just five hits, one walk, one run, and tying his season high eight strikeouts.

His 2.62 ERA is third best in the NL and over the past calendar year, his 2.16 ERA is the lowest mark in all of baseball.

Steele was drafted in the fifth round by the Cubs in 2014.
