George County alum Justin Steele back to all-star form for the Chicago Cubs

Former George County high school pitcher Justin Steele, when healthy, is an elite pitcher in the Major Leagues.

Steele was back on the mound on Tuesday as the Chicago Cubs took on the San Francisco Giants. He threw 6.2 innings, allowed just four hits, two earned runs, two walks, and struck out eight in the process.

The former Rebel has a 1.14 ERA in his last five starts, including zero homeruns allowed in just over 31 innings of work. Steele will be back on the mound on Monday, June 26 against the San Francisco Giants once again.
