George County alum Deuce Knight named SEC Freshman of the Week
AUBURN, Al. (WXXV SPORTS)- Well, if you haven’t seen the headlines, our man Deuce got loose!
The dual threat Auburn quarterback and George County alum Deuce Knight had a storybook start to his collegiate career and it’s drawing the eyes of many including the Southeastern Conference.
Knight was named the SEC Freshman of the week for his spectacular start against Mercer on Saturday.
In his college debut, Knight had 401 total yards and tied the school’s total touchdown record with six touchdowns to beat Mercer.
Along with being named SEC Freshman of the Week, he was also the highest graded QB for week 13 by PFF College.
All eyes are now on the Iron Bowl as Knight and the Auburn Tiger host the Alabama Crimson Tide Saturday at 6:30.
