Gender reveal for hyena taking place this Saturday in Hattiesburg

If you aren’t busy this weekend, visitors to the Hattiesburg Zoo can participate in a gender reveal for a hyena cub this Saturday at 11.

The cub was born on Friday the 13th in October 2023.

This will be the first opportunity for zoo guests to participate for a hyena born at the Hattiesburg Zoo.

Participating guests will be given a ‘team pink’ or ‘team blue’ flag to support their choice.

Mother Pili will unveil the gender by pulling a rope, opening a box filled with either pink or blue animal-friendly confetti.
