Gautier Star On The Rise
Since her first on set job and appearance on this 48 hour film project back in 2012, Gautier Actress Katrina Currie has proven to be useful on both sides of the camera.
Her most recent brush with fame was a two minute appearance as a background actor on NCIS-New Orleans.
She started as a makeup artist on this 48 hour film project in South Mississippi, but producers took notice, seeing Currie’s potential on the other side of the lens.
“It just started snow balling, and the opportunities started coming, the casting and things of that nature."
Currie has had two appearances on NCIS and an upcoming appearance on HBO.
While Currie enjoys her work on screen, the most important roles to her are real life, like being a wife and mother.
"I can go in and be in the market place and it’s not about carrying a Bible all the time, or speaking scripture, but it’s a lifestyle. Your lifestyle is praise. Having that ability to impact lives and influence lives through media, whether it’s make up or film or commercials, having that impact of Christ in the market place."
"To be in roles that may not have been looked upon as embraced for many African Americans. I want to be a Cinderella or a snow white."
