Gautier Police investigating shooting on Riverside Drive

GAUTIER, MS – On Thursday, November 3, 2023 at around 4:22 p.m., the Gautier Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 1400 block of Riverside Drive.

When officers arrived, it was determined one person was possibly struck by gunfire, but they had left the scene before officers arrived.

In addition, a residence on Riverside Drive was struck by gunfire. A short time later, a male victim arrived at Ocean Springs Hospital by personal vehicle and was suffering from a single gunshot wound.

The victim was identified as 18-year-old Kyle Reese of Gautier. Reese is currently on bond from an aggravated assault incident that occurred on June 21, 2023. Reese was treated for his injuries, which are not considered life threatening. The incident is still under investigation.
