Gautier Police investigating early morning shooting

Gautier Police are searching for a suspect in an early-morning shooting on Bayou View Circle.

Chief David Bever said officers were called to the scene of a reported shooting at a residence on Bayou View Circle about 1:34 a.m.

At the home, they found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Police say the victim said he exchanged gunfire with the suspect, who also was shot before leaving the scene.

Kyle Reese was identified as the suspect and shortly after, Reese arrived at a Mobile hospital with a gunshot wound. Gautier has issued an arrest warrant for Reese on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He will be charged when he is released from the hospital.

A second suspect has not yet been identified.
