Gautier Police investigating a string of vehicle break-ins

GAUTIER, Miss. (WXXV)- The Gautier Police Department is investigating a string of vehicle break-ins.

According to the department, the break-ins are happening during the nighttime hours in the area of Bemis Avenue, Smith Drive, and Jo Beth Terrance. Unlocked vehicles are being targeted specifically.

Police are urging residents to take precautions and lock your vehicle at all time, even in your driveways. Other precautions residents should take include removing valuables from plain sight or from the vehicle completely, turning on exterior lights or using motion detection if possible.
