Gautier police charge 16-year-old with aggravated assault

An investigation into a shooting on Kingfisher Drive resulted in an arrest and confiscation of drugs and weapons.

Gautier Police were investigating a report of a shooting on Kingfisher Drive. The report further said that people in a house on the street were firing at a vehicle traveling down that street. There were no injuries reported

Officers executed a search warrant on the home Tuesday afternoon.

During the search of the home, three weapons were recovered and approximately six ounces of marijuana was seized.

Byliah Phillips, 16, was arrested and charged as an adult with aggravated assault.  Another adult was taken into custody for the narcotics at the home and has charges pending with the South Mississippi Metro Enforcement Team.
