Gautier Police asking for help finding suspects in I-10 shooting

Gautier Police believe an altercation in Moss Point is the reason for the shooting on I-10 on Saturday, September 9.
Police are asking the public to speak up with any information regarding who did the shooting and then ran into the woods.
A Gautier Police Department’s press release states that around 2:00 a.m., they responded to a reported shooting on I-10 near Martin Bluff Road overpass. Officers located two gunshot victims who were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim’s vehicle was shot at by another vehicle while traveling west on I-10 near the westbound rest area. After the shooting, both vehicles crashed into each other and stopped near the Martin Bluff Road overpass. Three black males abandoned their vehicle and fled the area on foot.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and the South MS Metro Enforcement Team Drug Task Force assisted Gautier officers in searching the area for the suspects but they were not found. Investigations believe the shooting is related to an altercation in Moss Point prior to the shooting.
