Gautier PD hosting ‘dunk-a-cop’ fundraiser

GAUTIER, Miss. (WXXV)- Have you ever wanted to dunk a cop? The Gautier Police Department is giving you that chance!

The department is hosting a fundraiser for this Saturday from 9 to 1. Police Chief Bever and a few other officers are being placed in a dunk tank.

The fundraiser takes place outside the Gautier Police Department.

It’ll cost you $5 for three throws or $1 per throw.

All proceeds go toward the Gautier Police Department’s police explorer program. The program enables young people to get a firsthand look at law enforcement careers and develop skills.

The police department is also hosting an open house, full of interactive stations, demonstrations, and more.
