Gautier Officer Involved in Shooting

The Gautier Police Department is investigating an officer involved shooting that left one person wounded Thursday morning in North Gautier. No Officers were injured. Police responded to a 911 call of domestic violence around 4:30 a.m. in the Magnolia Bluff area of Gautier. Officers arriving on scene were met by 32 year old suspect, Seth Edward Bemis who began shooting at police as they approached the house. Police returned gunfire and wounded Bemis before taking him into custody. Bemis was transported to Singing River Hospital and treated for a gunshot wound and is expected to face felony charges upon his release.
