Gautier/MGCCC alum Deandre Torrey goes off against USM

On Saturday, Gautier alum DeAndre Torrey left Southern Miss in a state of regret, going off for a career high 95 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries in a 30-7 victory for North Texas.

Torrey was third in the entire nation in rushing as a freshman at Mississippi Gulf Coast and transferred to UNT after just one season as an academic qualifier out of high school.

According to 24/7 Sports, Torrey was never offered by USM and now has a pair of three touchdown games for the Mean Green this season.
