Gautier High Hope Squad holds tree dedication ceremony

GAUTIER, Miss. (WXXV)- Thursday was a meaningful day for the Gautier High School Hope Squad.

The Hope Squad dedicated a tree in the school courtyard. That tree acts as a symbol that every student has hope.

Mayor Casey Vaughan was at the ceremony and proclaimed February 12 as Hope Day at the school.

During the ceremony, Hope Zone teachers were recognized as well.

These six teachers were recognized for their classrooms and offices that serve as a safe and welcoming space for all students.
