Gautier Firefighters get Back Pay

A Circuit Court judge has ordered the city of Gautier to pay more than $63,000 in back holiday pay to current and former firefighters.
Twenty-five firefighters will receive anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars. This judgment stems from a legal dispute over firefighters not receiving any holiday pay beginning back in April 2013. The city will also have to pay about $8,500 to contribute to the firefighter’s state retirement plan. That brings the total judgment to about $75,000.
