Gautier Fire Department responds to residential fire on Narcissus Drive

Gautier, Mississippi; December 21, 2023 – The Gautier Fire Department responded to a residential fire in a mobile home on December 20, 2023,  on Narcissus Drive.

At 3:59 pm, the department received an alarm and promptly arrived at the scene. One elderly occupant, the sole individual in the home at the time, successfully evacuated on his own accord.

The occupant’s daughter, who also lived in the residence, was not home at the time of the fire.

Upon investigation, it was determined that the source of the fire originated from a six-way plug connected to a heater, as reported by the homeowner.

The situation was brought under control by the responding firefighters.

The fire resulted in the total loss of the residence. However, the homeowner is in good health and is currently finding support with family members within the same neighborhood.
