Gautier City Council approves hotel development

GAUTIER, Miss. (WXXV)- The Gautier City Council has approved a plan to bring a hotel to the Gautier Town Commons development.

Under the agreement, 2.9 acres of the development will be sold to Stay Gautier, LLC, which in turn will develop a 100-room Hilton or Marriott branded hotel.

Also, as part of the agreement, the hotel must be completed no later than 18 months after the deal closes.

City leaders say the developer for this project has prior experience building hotels in cities across the southeast.
