Gatlinburg Reopens To The Public
Gatlinburg has reopened to the public following last week’s deadly wildfires. A steady stream of cars moved through the main drag earlier today. Most of the tourist area, that draws more than 11 million people a year, was spared. Fourteen people were killed and about 25-hundred homes and buildings were destroyed by the fires. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park also reopened areas that had been closed. Two teenagers have been charged with starting the fires that were driven by hurricane-force winds.
