Gateway Project begins in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Long Beach announces the launch of their Gateway Project. The project is set to start on Tuesday.

The initiative is focused on improving the visual appeal and functionality of the west entrance to the harbor.

The West Harbor parking lot will be closed as part of the enhancement project. The phase of the project will include the installation of new gateway signage and landscaping, aimed at creating a more welcoming and vibrant first impression for visitors.

Access to waterfront restaurants in the area will remain open. Visitors are encouraged to use the Cleveland Avenue entrance off Highway 90 in the meantime.
