Gas prices dropping slightly

At the height of the summer driving season, Americans are finally catching a break at the pump.

After months of record highs, gas prices are starting to come down. The national average is now 26 cents lower than the record set on June 14th.

Eighty percent of gas stations in the U.S. are now charging less than $5 a gallon.

According to AAA, the average price of gas in Mississippi right now is $4.27, but here on the Coast we are seeing prices as low as $3.86.
