Gas prices continue to go down

If you have big plans for the weekend, now is a great time to save some money at the gas pump.

Some gas stations on the Coast have gas prices as low as $1.75 per gallon. According to AAA, gas prices were expected to hit a three year low to begin 2019.

After a busy holiday season prices usually tend to go down at the pump.

Moss Point native Valerie Stallworth tells News 25 she didn’t hesitate to stop at the Shell Station in Gulfport to fuel up before she hit the road. “Oh, I’m thinking how joyful it is to bring in a new year with these decreasing gas prices especially since I drive 200 miles to work and back per week. Naturally, I’m very glad to see a decrease in the gas prices.”
