Galaxy Car Wash Fundraiser for Officer Shawn Williams
Tomorrow, one of the newest car washes on the Coast is joining in to help raise money for the medical expenses of Gulfport police officer Shawn Williams.
Galaxy Car Wash on Highway 49 will be donating 20 percent of its sales tomorrow to Officer Williams’ family. Officer Shawn Williams suffered an aneurysm almost two weeks ago. Now, the car wash wants to do anything it can to help. Galaxy Car Wash invites anyone to come out tomorrow between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Kevin Menius, co-owner of Galaxy Car Wash, said, “His partner in Gulfport here was actually a good friend of mine and we want to do what we can to help out, to see that his family has money to cover the medical expenses.” Lynn Hammons, co-owner of Galaxy Car Wash, said, “It’s our first fundraiser. We hope to do about one a quarter, so we can participate in the community, so we can give to them for supporting our business.”
Tomorrow, The Shed will also be having a silent auction to benefit Officer Shawn Williams.
