Gabby Easterwood Live “The Morning After” with Results from Bay St. Louis’s Tuesday Food & Beverage Tax Vote
There was a low turn out for Tuesday’s city-wide referendum in Bay St. Louis to vote on a proposed 2-percent increase on food and beverage sales tax. Although turn out was only 1,000, voters have spoken, and the measure to increase the city’s food and beverage sales tax failed to round up the 60-percent of the votes needed for the measure to pass, with 76.5% voted against it and 23.5% voting for the proposed increase. News 25 Today’s Gabby Easterwood shared live reports Wednesday, the “morning after,” the vote took place.
