Furlan’s Marine in Gautier awarded $100,000
The owners of a family owned and run business in Gautier are feeling like they hit the jackpot and they’ve got the check to prove it.
Furlan’s Marine won $100,000 through Waste Management’s ‘Million Dollar Shot’ contest at the 2021 WM Phoenix Open.
Waste Management serves as the title sponsor of the PGA Tour Tournament.
Through a hole-in-one contest, the company decided to offer an existing small or medium-sized business a chance to win $1 million or $100,000 prize.
When no golfers made the hole-in-one, Waste Management awarded the threesome of golfers with the lowest aggregate score $100,000.
At the check presentation, the Furlan family said they are humbled by the award and the community support. “It really makes a big difference in our business from this past year with the pandemic, not sure where everything is going in the future at this point. It just helps us to further grow our business, serve our customers, and help make everything better for our employees, also.”
The presentation was attended by city and waste management officials.
