Funeral services for John McFarland announced
Funeral services have been announced for longtime Coast community leader John McFarland.
McFarland died Tuesday at the age of 76.
He was with the Sun Herald for 42 years as an executive with the newspaper.
He then spent eight years as executive director for the Red Cross Southeast Chapter here on the coast.
Services will be held next Wednesday, May 24, at Reimann Family Funeral Home on Three Rivers Road from 12:00 to 2:00 pm with a service to follow.
