Funeral service for fallen Bay St. Louis officers tomorrow

Law enforcement agencies across South Mississippi are preparing for tomorrow’s funeral services for two of their fallen brothers.

Sgt. Steven Robin and Officer Branden Estorffe will be remembered during a joint funeral service tomorrow at the Bay St. Louis Community Hall on Blaize Avenue.

Both officers were killed in the line of duty last Wednesday morning as they were responding to a welfare check at the Motel 6 on Highway 90.

Tomorrow’s visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral service at noon.

Public parking will be available at St. Stanislaus Stadium on Bookter Street.

Bay St. Louis police are asking all public vehicles to please enter the stadium parking area from that route.

A massive amount of law enforcement vehicles will be using the other route from Beach Boulevard as well as Washington Street. So, you will need to avoid both of those area. All public traffic will be directed to Dunbar Avenue.

Following the funeral, a law enforcement procession will escort the fallen officers’ bodies to Gardens of Memory Cemetery for a graveside service.

That cemetery is just across the street from the community hall, however, because so many agencies will be there to show their support there will be an extended route for the procession.

The officers’ bodies will be escorted from the community hall to Beach Boulevard to Highway 90 and will loop back around at Waveland Avenue proceeding down Central Avenue to the cemetery.

You can expect road closures as early as 12:15 tomorrow and then the route will remain closed for the entirety of the procession.
