Fundraiser for Jackson County Sheriff Deputy battling colon cancer
To help a fellow officer, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a t-shirt fundraiser for Deputy Nick O’Bryant.
Last November, Deputy O’Bryant found out he had stage three colon cancer. To help with his medical expenses, Jackson County is lending a helping hand. The shirt is dark gray cotton with the sheriff emblem on the front left and ‘Our God is Stronger than Colon Cancer’ written on the back.
Chief Deputy John Ledbetter says this is one way to show support and appreciation for Deputy O’Bryant. “Deputy O’Bryant has got twelve years of law enforcement, seven of those being right here at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. He is a great asset and he does great things. We really enjoy working with him and this is just a small way we can say thank you to him for what he has done, but also to help him and his family through this difficult time.”
If you’d like to buy a shirt, contact Crystal Evans in the process division at 228-769-3020. Shirts that are a youth small to an adult XL are $20 and shirts that are 2X through 5X are $25.
