Fudge Shack candy shop in Ocean Springs preparing for Valentine’s Day

We’re less than a week away from Valentine’s Day and you can’t go wrong by purchasing chocolates, especially from local businesses.

You may want to head over to the Fudge Shack in Ocean Springs on North Washington Avenue. Amy Tringali opened the business three years ago.

The shop crafts a wide array of confections, but during Valentine’s their top sellers are chocolate covered strawberries and macarons.

The owner says shopping locally helps keep small businesses like hers alive, they add character to cities and towns and cater more to the community.

It’s going to be a busy weekend with Super Bowl Sunday and Valentine’s Day on Monday, so you can help your favorite bakery or candy shop keep up with the demand by ordering ahead. Tringali said, “We are asking that people go ahead and place an order with us ahead of time. We’re asking that they be in by Friday evening that way you can have them in by Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, whenever you choose to celebrate your holiday.”
