Fruit Stripe Gum discontinued
For those of us of a certain age, a small part of our childhood is now over.
After 54 years, Fruit Stripe gum has been discontinued. The Ferrera Candy Company has confirmed the decision to end production of the now iconic chewing gum.
Fruit Stripe Gum was created in 1969 by the Beech-Nut Company.
It came in five flavors and each stick contained a temporary tattoo of mascot Yipes the Zebra.
