Friends of the Court holds volunteer training
Training is underway in Harrison County for the newest Friends of the Court volunteers.
In coordination with Chancery judges across the county, these volunteers investigate and gather facts for guardianship and custody cases.
From at risk children to vulnerable adults, these volunteers present evidence to the court to help judges make more sound decisions.
The twelve-hour, three-day course prepares volunteers for their role in various types of court cases.
If you’re interested in becoming a Friends of the Court volunteer, the next classes kick off April 1st through the 3rd. You must attend all three classes to qualify as a volunteer.
