Friends of the Court give back at annual toy drive

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Friday morning, Harrison County Friends of Court hosted its fourth annual toy drive.

It’s a way to spread holiday cheer to children in the chancery court system.

The program currently serves over 100 children involved in custody and guardianship cases.

Fifty-five dedicated Friends of Court volunteer case workers advocate daily for the best interest of these children.

Some of the volunteers helped pack some of the gifts at the Lyman Senior Center, hoping to bring some joy to the kids they work with.

More volunteer case workers are needed. The next training is January 13 through the 15.
