Friends of Firefighters holds Breakfast at the Kitchen Table event at Biloxi Fire Museum
Retired and active firefighters came together at the Biloxi Fire Museum this morning for fellowship over breakfast.
The organization Friends of Firefighters put this event on to help firefighters talk with each other in a relaxed setting. Guests enjoyed a free breakfast with bacon, eggs, grits, sausage, and biscuits.
Friends of Firefighters provides counseling, peer support, and wellness services for firefighters. Retired Battalion Chief Tony Murphy said, “To get all the guys together and sit down and just fellowship. They all work together, but they don’t always get to see each other all the time because they are at different stations. Guys that are on duty come, off duty guys come, you get to see people you may not have seen in a while and just visit and just fellowship with them.”
New York and Biloxi are the only two cities that offer Friends of the Firefighters services.
