Freedom Ranch showcasing animals at Jackson George Regional libraries
Jackson-George Regional Library System has been busy all summer long hosting events for kids each week.
To end the summer library program, they invited Freedom Ranch to come and showcase some of the animals that have been rescued in the wild.
Freedom Ranch takes in injured animals from our South Mississippi area. The animals are brought in from wildlife rehabilitation organizations to heal on their own.
The summer library program encourages children to be active while out for the summer. JGRLS Youth Services Coordinator Bethany Carlisle said, “I think one of the great things, especially about this program, is that there is a large learning component to it. The kids learn about the different animals and it’s amazing how knowledgeable they already are.”
Tomorrow, Freedom Ranch will be at St. Martin Library at 10 a.m. and Gautier at 2 p.m. On Thursday, they will be in Moss Point at 10 a.m. and Pascagoula at 2 p.m.
