Free kids cuts for back to school
It’s the final countdown for some South Mississippi students and they aren’t wasting any time getting spruced up for the new school year.
About 30 kids and their parents stopped by Mount Olive Lodge Number 83 to get a free hair cut by Chris’ Beauty College in Gulfport. The trim lifted the spirits of these youngsters as they get ready to head into the new school year.
Master Barber Luther Banks says this is the beauty college’s way to help cut costs for families as the new school year approaches. “Throughout different communities, some families can’t afford to go to barbershops or go to professionals to get it done. We donate our services, the students are actually giving their services back, getting some hours for school, basically just to help out the community.”
Kids cuts at Chris’ Beauty College cost $8 on average.
