Free community luncheon
The smell of fried fish filled the rooms in the Randolph Center in Pass Christian as members of the community hosted a free lunch over the weekend.
The Masons of the Mexican Gulf Coast Lodge Number 64 hosted a free fish fry in hopes of reaching out to all people in Pass Christian. The lunch was free, but donations could be made to the group.
They called the event the ‘bring out the unity in community’ and that is just what happened. Past Master of the Masons John Cook Jr. said, “There are a lot of new faces here in Pass Christian after Hurricane Katrina. This is a great opportunity for people to come out and meet people that have been here all their lives and the people that have been here all their lives have the opportunity to meet the new people in town. I think it’s a success. We’ve already had several different conversations started where new people are meeting the old people and people rekindling relationships and we’re glad to be a part of that.”
The group welcomes anyone no matter your political views, race, or religion because it is all about the community.
