Frank Gore Jr. reaches milestones as the Golden Eagles close our their 2023 season

This past Saturday, the Golden Eagles hosted the highly competitive Troy Trojan program.

Southern Miss lost their final game of the season 17 to 35. Troy will go on to play Appalachian State in the Sunbelt championship this Saturday. The Golden Eales have ended their season with an overall record of 3 and 9.

Frank Gore Jr. rushes for his tenth touchdown on a 57 yarder in the second quarter, becoming this first Golden Eagle rusher with ten or more touchdowns since Ito Smith in 2013, and he surpassed 4,000 rushing yards, joining two Southern Miss legends Ito Smith and Damion Fletcher as the only players to reach the milestone in program history.
