Fourth Statue Set To Come Down

The city of New Orleans is set take down the statue of confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee today. New Orleans Police placed barricades around lee circle, where the controversial monument stands. It is the last of four confederate-era statues to be removed from the city. Mayor Mitch Landrieu will deliver a speech later today explaining the reasoning behind the statues’ removal.
