Four Sentenced in 2013 Shooting Death

Four men were sentenced in the 2013 shooting death of 15-year-old Joshua Cuellar.
Twenty-year-old Sellers Johnson, who is named as the person who pulled the trigger, was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Damon Clark, who is named as one of the boys who handled the pistol and pulled it on the victim, was sentenced to 40 years with 15 suspended.
Earnest Pope and Deaundre Holmes were both sentenced to 20 years, 10 of those years suspended, with 10 years to serve as an accessory to the crime.
Cuellar was shot seven times after he fought off the three teen’s attempt to rob him after he had given them a ride to a home improvement store.
The victim’s family chose not to speak with WXXV on camera, but said they are happy with the outcome of today’s sentencing.
