Four Mile Creek Baptist Church in Moss Point suffers damage

Four Mile Creek Baptist Church is just another portion of the damage in Jackson County.

The church is located on the 3800 block of Coventry Drive in Moss Point. Responders were at the church this morning covering the roof with a tarp to prevent more water from seeping inside.

News 25 spoke with Joy Peek, a 20-year member of the church, who is just glad the damage wasn’t anything worse. “We hate that the church, that this has happened, but God’s in control. We will recover from this. He sees us through so many things just like when we went through Katrina. He was there to carry us through and I feel like we came out better on the other end of it. We have a lot of faithful people here that will bring this back together.”

Across the street from the church, workers were out in full force removing some limbs that had fallen into some power lines. There was also a home right next to the church that also suffered some damage.
