Four Mardi Gras parades rolling this weekend

Mardi Gras madness is heating up with four parades scheduled to roll this weekend.

On Saturday, the Elks Club Parade in Ocean Springs will roll through downtown at 1 p.m., immediately followed by the Krewe Unique at 1:30 p.m. and will bring the sounds of Motown to the streets of Ocean Springs featuring Alcorn State’s marching band.

Pass Christian Carnival Association will roll at 1 p.m. from J.P. Ladner Road, up Edwin Ladner Road to Vidalia Road and back to J.P. Ladner.

On Sunday, the Lizana Parade will begin at 1 p.m. beginning and ending at Lizana Elementary, going down Cable Bridge to Northrop Cuevas to Moran Road.
