Four Coast Basketball players selected to play in Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game!
If you’re looking for the top high school basketball talent in the state you don’t have to look far as four coast athletes have officially received All-Star status. In the span of one year, the Mississippi Gulf Coast has improved from just one to four Mississippi-Alabama all-star selections.
For the third year in a row, Pascagoula is home to a Mississippi All-Star! Panther point guard, Dandy Dozen and newly named Mr. 1000, Blake Nettles is joining the list of greats! He now joins the duo of Dorian McMillian and Kelan Rich, Nettles will be playing for Jackson State University in the fall.
Another school adding to their common list of greats is Gulfport high school! Senior guard Morris Robertson Jr. is a Mississippi All-Star! The three point legend is leading Gulfport to the top of their talented region with only one loss all year and was named the Holiday Classic’s Most Valuable Player at the beginning of the year. He’s also the second Admiral in three years to get the honor, joining Amir Abdul-Rauf.
Heading over to the Pass now, the pirate ship is sailing to Jackson! Pass Christian 6’6’ wing, Dandy Dozen and Mr. 1,000, Landon Hall is a Mississippi All-Star! He averages 20 points per game and will be joining Pearl River Community College in the fall.
Last but certainly not least is a Rock-A-Chaw that’s been rocking the world of many basketball teams this season. The 6’7” center from St. Stanislaus Max Baria is a Mississippi All-Star! The Dandy Dozen has led SSC to one of their best seasons in almost two decades, averaging 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks per game.
We look forward to seeing these four stars come together and dominate for the state on March 14th with a 2pm tip off at Mississippi College!
