Gulfport Police have made arrests after responding to a report of a shooting at an air B&B early Saturday morning.

Police have arrested four suspects:

Tedric Antonio Owens, 35, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of
assault on a law enforcement officer, one count of trafficking cocaine, one count of trafficking MDMA, and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Christopher Emanuel Reese, 34, was charged with one count of trafficking cocaine, one count of trafficking MDMA, and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Demetrius Dontay Goodman, 36, was charged with one count of trafficking cocaine, one count of trafficking MDMA, and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Laquavius Deshaun Wortherly, 36, was charged with one count of trafficking cocaine, one count of trafficking MDMA, and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Police were called to the 1100 block of 19th Street at about 4:17 a.m. about a shooting and found a victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Officers searched the  residence and found Owens underneath a bed with a firearm in his hands. After removing the firearm and attempting to take Owens into custody, he began resisting and was ultimately apprehended by a K9, at which point Owens began striking and choking the K9.

A second victim, who had a gunshot wound to the chest, was taken to a local hospital by a private
vehicle. The victim was later airlifted to another hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Investigators learned that all parties involved were from South Carolina and were renting an Airbnb.

A fight occurred during which Owens fired a weapon multiple times, striking two victims.

A search of the residence and a vehicle yielded three firearms — two of which were reported
stolen — approximately 174 grams of marijuana, 1,011 dosage units of MDMA, and 84 grams of cocaine.

All suspects were taken to the Harrison County Adult jail.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Gulfport Police Department at 228-868-5959 or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898.
