Foster Children’s Christmas Party

The Hancock County Youth Court, CASA of Hancock County, and CPS held their annual Foster Children’s Christmas Party at the Bay St. Louis Community Center Sunday.
Hundreds of foster children and their families had a chance to enjoy some holiday cheer. The annual party helps assist families in need by providing gifts to foster children. Families were treated to pizza, face painting, Christmas carols, games, and much more.
Santa even stopped by and made a special appearance. CASA Executive Director Cynthia Chauvin said, “CASA programs and courts across the state don’t always do this, but this was something that Judge Deno felt strongly about. In a lot of cases, they don’t get a chance to have positive memories while they are in the foster care system. They are away from their families and something as simple to you and I, such as a gift, is not a given to someone in their situation.”
Each child left with a gift and holiday cheer.
