A former worship leader from Saucier has filed his intent to plead guilty to federal sex crime charges this month.

34-year-old Tyler Selby was indicted in September 2023 on charges of producing a video of himself and a young boy committing sexual acts at a house in Jackson County.

He initially pleaded not guilty.

A superseding indictment was issued on Oct. 23, 2024, charging Selby with one count of production of child pornography and two counts of distribution of child pornography.

On Tuesday, his attorney filed his notice of intent to change his plea to guilty.

He is scheduled in federal court on November 14 at 1:30 p.m. before U.S. Judge Louis Guirola Jr. He faces a maximum sentence of decades in prison and a lifetime of supervised release.

If he does not enter a guilty plea, a trial is scheduled for December 2 in federal court in Gulfport.
