Former Wild at Heart patient finds his forever home

Jackson County, Miss. (WXXV)- The Wild at Heart Rescue out of Jackson County is sharing exciting news about one of their patients.

Marty is a Sandhill Crane that Wild at Heart had in their care for a year.

Marty recently found his forever home in Florida at the Freedom Ranch Wildlife Center.

He was found at a school playground and then a restaurant in Gulfport, looking for scraps of food.

A Sandhill Crane biologist determined Marty was too use to people to remain in the wild.
