Former Shuckers traded Wednesday
Several blockbuster moves this afternoon as Major League Baseball’s trade deadline went down to the wire, including a pair of familiar faces finding new homes.
Starting with former Biloxi Shucker Mauricio Dubon, a fan favorite during his time at MGM Park. He is now a member of the San Francisco Giants organization after the Milwaukee Brewers pulled the trigger for Drew Pomeranz.
Dubon slides in as the eighth-ranked prospect for the Giants, having finally made his MLB debut with the Brew Crew this season after recovering from a torn ACL.
In addition, Marcos Diplan is heading north to Minnesota as the Twins acquire the right-handed pitcher for cash considerations.
The Brewers had already designated Diplan for assignment following the trade that sent Cody Ponce to Pittsburg.
